Raku is a ceramic firing process where the pieces are removed from a special kiln while they are still red-hot and cooled quickly, frequently with combustible materials like straw or newspaper, to create unique surface and glaze effects. Every raku piece is a unique and beautiful work of art. Please note that raku is not watertight or food safe.
